Liberia cross stitch pattern, eleven red and white stripes with a single white star on deep blue, filling a country shape that steps down the West African coast. The flag is modelled on the Stars and Stripes, one star for one country where the American flag carries fifty.

Liberia was founded in 1822 by freed African Americans who crossed back to West Africa, and declared independence in 1847. Four shades and 731 stitches, with the striping and the star as the parts worth taking slowly. Part of the Tiny Little Countries series.
