Every cross stitcher eventually needs lettering. A name on a birth sampler, a date on a wedding piece, a quote on a finishing piece. Our alphabet collection started small and grew because we kept needing fonts we didn't have.
Most are backstitch fonts (the cleanest way to render small letters), and each one specifies its letter height so you can plan your layout before you start. Buy individual alphabets, or pick up the full bundle if you want a complete lettering toolkit.
