Vatican Cross Stitch Pattern: Tiny Flag Map

The Vatican cross stitch pattern shows the country outline filled with the flag's two vertical bands, yellow on the left and white on the right. The papal coat of arms sits on the white side: the gold and silver crossed keys of Saint Peter beneath the papal tiara, the keys symbolising the spiritual authority handed from Christ to Peter. "VATICAN CITY" is stitched across the yellow band in two lines of small backstitch. Part of our Tiny Little Countries series.
